I didn’t think I’d care for apple bread until I had this recipe. The best part is that it makes two loaves, so you can enjoy one and share one. Thanks, Mom!

INGREDIENTS:

2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1/3 cup orange juice
1 cup finely chopped apples
1 tablespoon grated orange peel

INSTRUCTIONS:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. Add egg and continue mixing. To this mixture, add remaining dry ingredients and orange juice, alternating and blending well after each addition. Add apples and orange peel and mix well. Pour batter into two greased bread pans.

Bake for 45 minutes.

DETAILS:
Super fast prep + cook time. Yields enough for a crowd.
