DINNERTIME FVT: The Fruit & Veggie Tray

Serving meals on boards and trays is quite popular, and my most tried and true iteration of this is the Dinnertime FVT.

Not only does the fruit and veggie tray save me time (I prepare it once or twice a week and then simply cover it and uncover it the next evening, supplementing where there are holes), it encourages healthy competition (who can eat the most veggies!), passively introduces new foods (sneak those on the tray when you want), and allows kids to choose their own healthy side dishes.

Get creative with your boards and trays. We do grilled cheese and quesadilla boards, baked potato bar, tacos, after school snack boards, lunchtime trays, etc.

It’s fun, different, and gives the power of choice to those you serve.
