Words to Remove From Your Vocab

A lot of people choose a word for the upcoming year—something motivational or grounding. Perhaps it’s something to usher in—abundance, prosperity, intentionality, etc. While I love this practice, I’ve found eliminating certain words helps keep the door wide open to receiving, while keeping your mind focused on the positive.

It’s been years now since I’ve used the words “tired” or “busy.” This past year, I took the word “hate” right out of my vocab. And recently, my husband and I started calling each other out if we hear “can’t” slip out of each other’s lips.

So while you’re envisioning your best self in 2021, take stock of your words because ... what’s that quote again? “Watch your thoughts, they become words. Watch your words they become actions.” Something like that ...
